WPAvatar 正式名称是文派头像（WenPai Avatar）的缩写，存在的主要目的是为了解决中国特色问题，由于 WordPress 内置包含的 Gravatar 多年来一直持续无法访问和加载缓慢，严重拖慢了处在中国大陆地区的用户网站速度，非常影响用户体验。
